俄罗斯石油股份公司是俄罗斯最大的石油公司，也是世界最大的上市油气公司之一。公司主营范围是石油、天然气勘探开采，成品油和石化产品生产、销售。营业区域遍及俄罗斯西西伯利亚、俄罗斯南部、俄罗斯中部、蒂曼-伯朝拉、东西伯利亚、远东及北极大陆架等全国主要地区，另外在哈萨克斯坦、德国、中国、阿尔及利亚、委内瑞拉、阿联酋等国也有项目实施。公司共有七家大型炼油厂，分布于从黑海海岸至远东的地区，销售网囊括全国41个地区。 根据美国D&M公司2011年的审计结果，俄罗斯石油股份公司的油气证实储量无论是按PRMS标准还是按SEC标准均仍居世界上市油气公司之首。

Rosneft is a Russian oil industry leader and one of the largest public oil and gas companies in the world.Rosneft’s main operations are exploring for and producing oil and gas and producingand selling petroleumproducts and petrochemicals. Rosneft’s exploration and production activities spread across all of Russia’s main oil and gas provinces: Western Siberia, Southern and Central Russia, Timan Pechora, Eastern Siberia, the Far East and offshore zones in the Arctic. The Company also has projects in Kazakhstan, Germany, China, Algeria, Venezuela and the United Arab Emirates. The Company owns seven major oil refineries spread across the country from Southern Russia to the Far East with a retail network covering 44 regions of the country. One of Rosneft’s key competitive advantages is the scale and size of its resource base. In 2012, Rosneft confirmed its status as the world’s largest public oil company by proved liquid hydrocarbon reserves and secured its position as the undisputed leader by hydrocarbon resources. The Company is the largest license holder on the Russian continental shelf. Rosneft is one of the fastestgrowing oil companies in the world: as of the end of 2012, oil production grew 2.5% year-on-year, gas production increased 28.1% year-on-year and refinery throughput was up 6.4% compared to 2011. Rosneft has the lowest lifting costs in the industry. Rosneft is carrying out large-scale investment projects, entering new markets, establishing global energy partnerships and making large-scale acquisitions. The acquisition of TNK-BP is a strong example of these efforts. Once the deal is finalised and the acquisition is completed, Rosneft will become the largest oil producer in the world. As part of international cooperation, Rosneft is working on joint projects with global majors such as ExxonMobil, Eni and Statoil and is also involved in production operations in Venezuela jointly with PDVSA and as part of the National Oil Consortium. Rosneft has long-standing partnerships with Chinese companies such as CNPC and Sinopec. Rosneft follows a strict social responsibility policy, recognising its obligation to employees, their families, the communities in the regions in which the Company operates and society as a whole. Rosneft is a General Partner of the Organising Committee of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. Rosneft’s effective production operations have secured the Company the status as a major Russian taxpayer.
