FMC Technologies Measurement Solutions traces its heritage to 1926 when Erie Meter Systems introduced the world’s first electric service station gasoline dispenser. Later when the company was bought by A.O. Smith, this measurement expertise formed the foundation to such technology innovations as the positive displacement meter, and later, the turbine meter, both known throughout the oil and gas industry as the global standards for custody transfer measurement. In 1963, Smith Meter Systems built its first skid-mounted integrated metering station and now has more than 2,000 installations in more than 100 countries. Today, FMC Technologies Measurement Solutions offerings include liquid custody transfer metering products, tank truck metering packages, flow computers, as well as complete gas and liquid metering systems.FMC’s commitment to quality is unrelenting.
