Heat Transfer Research, Inc. (HTRI) is a leading global provider of process heat transfer and heat exchanger technology, research, and software. Founded in 1962, our industrial research and development consortium serves the engineering needs of over 1000 corporate member sites. Our proprietary research is currently conducted on seven rigs at our state-of-the-art Research & Technology Center in Navasota, Texas. These industrially-relevant studies are augmented by the use of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and advanced laser techniques including particle imaging velocimetry. We use the proprietary data from these efforts to develop methods and software for the thermal design and analysis of heat exchangers and fired heaters. Additionally, we provide technical support to all members and offer training, consulting, and contract services to both members and non-members.
