The Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) has been training the workforce for the oil and gas sector for over 50 years. Based in the city of Edmonton, capital city of the province of Alberta, NAIT is an entrepreneurial-spirited polytechnic servicing industry training needs with competency-based education and training for more than 28,000 credit students, 38,000 non-credit students, and 15,000 apprentices each year.
NAIT offers more than 150 training programs leading to certificates, diplomas, and applied degrees and has a history of providing training to corporate and government clients from 60 countries. NAIT has over 200,000 alumni from 95 countries, approximately 2,800 permanent staff and an annual budget exceeding $350 million and over $500 million in capital assets.
