PIPENET -- LEADING THE WAY IN NETWORK FLOW

Sunrise Systems Limited has been dedicated in the research and
development of the software for network flow analysis since it was founded in
1985. Their product, PIPENET™, is widely used in the area of oil, natural
gas, shipbuilding, petrochemical and power industry. There are over
1500 clients world-wide using our product, which include many world leaders
like ABB, Bechtel, BP, Exxon, Hitachi, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Mobil, Shell,
Samsung, Technip etc. Since PIPENET™ was introduced to China three
years ago, there have been many companies using it in China, such as

Sunrise Systems Ltd is situated in Cambridge. PIPENETTm was originally
from the research product in Cambridge University. Since the first product was
accepted by the industry in late 70s, Sunrise Systems Ltd has made constant
efforts on developing the software and made the product became the industry
standard software in the U.K. and many other parts of the world. Sunrise
Systems Ltd pays high attention to Chinese marketing and some
employees in the company have extensive experience in engineering design
in China. They can provide professional technical support to the customers in
English and Mandarin. Sunrise Systems Ltd would like to cooperate with a

PIPENETTm is not only an efficient, accurate, reliable and user friendly
calculation tool, it is also a powerful optimization platform for the engineering
design. The network calculation and optimization, the selection of the devices
and the flow analysis in the accident state can be carried out easily with the
help of PIPENETTm. It’s friendly user interface and the powerful calculation
engine helps user build up complicated system model quickly and ensures
reliable results. The continuous system maintenance and updates that the
company provides keeps the product in the same pace with the advanced
technologies. The interfaces with PDS/PDMS and CAESARII enable
PIPENETTM expanding the compatibility and capability. The company has

PIPENET™ serial products include Standard Module, Spray/Sprinkler
Module and Transient Module. Users can choose either the individual
module or the whole package in an unbeatable price. Each of the modules is
designed for specific applications, situations and standards, however they all
share similar user interface. The different modules can share a same original
data conditionally. Together with its other characterises like standard and
expandable libraries, on line help, data checking and friendly editing functions
make PIPENETTM an easy yet powerful tool.
PIPENET™ Standard Module is widely used in the process, power and
shipbuilding industries. It is used to calculate the steady flow of fluids (liquid,
gas or vapour) in network. The functions include the calculation of fluid
distribution in utility systems and pressure drop in networks, the selection and
optimization of the pipe (or duct) and equipments (pump, valve and orifice
etc), and the accident simulation such as block, leak and break, etc.
PIPENET™ Spray/Sprinkler Module is specially developed for the design of
fire protection systems in accordance with the NFPA and FOC rules. It is
unique because it is specifically intended for the design of the type of fire
protection systems used in process plant, offshore platforms/FPSO’s, power
stations and ships. These have special design requirements.
PIPENET™ Transient Module provides a speedy and cost-effective means
to carry out rigorous transient fluid flow analysis due to the operation of
equipment or valve. PIPENET™ Transient Module can predict pressure
surges, calculate hydraulic transient forces or even model the operation of the
control systems, eventually achieve effective, precise, efficient and secured
design standard.
