Supported by Xi’an Shiyou University, the "Xi’an Key Laboratory for well Integrity Evaluation of Challenging and Complex Oil & Gas Wells" has been officially accredited and funded by the Xi’an Municipal Science and Technology Bureau. Supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Science and Technology Major Projects, CNPC’s Key Exploration and Development Programs, and over 150 research projects involving more than 20 oilfield and drilling companies, steel pipe manufacturers, the laboratory has developed a series advanced evaluation software and technologies, including:"Testing and Completion String Mechanical Analysis Software","Casing Wear Assessment and Residual Strength Analysis Software","Perforation Detonation Dynamics and Perforated Section Tubing/Casing Safety Evaluation Software","Integrated Perforation Design Optimization System".The laboratory has also designed and developed specialized experimental platforms such as: "Drill Pipe-Casing Wear Simulator","Fluid-Solid Coupling Erosion Test System","Downhole Tool Performance Evaluation System".These innovations provide robust technical methodologies for defining critical integrity evaluation parameters of key well barrier components (e.g., casings, tubings, packers, tubing connectors). Furthermore, they have delivered vital technical support for *mechanical analysis of testing/completion strings,wellbore integrity assessment, and perforation parameter optimization in over 1,000 high-pressure,high-temperature deep wells, significantly enhancing safety and efficiency in complex well operations.
