Daqing Oilfield was discovered in 1959 and developed in 1960. It is one of the few extra-large sandstone oilfields in the world. The exploration and development areas include some blocks of the "four basins" of Songliao, Hailar, Tarim, and Sichuan, as well as oil and gas field development blocks in Iraq and Mongolia overseas. There are 48 secondary units and 144,000 employees. The business has two parts: listed and unlisted, including exploration and development, new energy, engineering technology, engineering construction, equipment manufacturing, production support, comprehensive economy, vocational education and training, etc.
