Hunan Zenpon Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd was established in August 2016 by Zhuzhou Zenpon Technology Industrial Co., Ltd and China Hydrogen Expert-Mao Zongqiang. It is a high-tech new energy enterprise focusing on hydrogen fuel cells and integrating design, R&D and manufacturing. The company has strong technical strength and the chief consultant is Mao Zongqiang, who is the chief scientist of China's first national 973 hydrogen project. It brings together a number of well-known Chinese and foreign experts from Tsinghua University, Central South University, and Xiangtan University. Zenpon reached a long-term strategic cooperation agreement with Tsinghua University, and carried out a joint development project of MBP hydrogen fuel cell industrialization with Tsinghua technology team. Tsinghua University is a domestic leader in fuel cell engineering and has undertaken a number of "863" research projects on fuel cell. Most team members are members of the National Fuel Cell Standardization Technical Committee (SAC／TC342) and the National Hydrogen Standardization Technical Committee (SAC／TC309). The company has the ability to design and produce graphite and metallic bipolar plates independently , and it is also capable for simulating and evaluating designs. Currently the annual capacity of graphite bipolar plates can reach 200,000 pcs, and the metallic bipolar plates can reach 500,000 pcs / year. The performance of the stacks which are independently designed by Zenpon has met the international advanced level.
