MSI Energy Technology (Shandong) Co., Ltd. is mainly engaged in the research and development of multiphase flow instruments and the promotion of oil-water separation technology. In 1995, Wang Shoubo, chairman (general manager) of the company, went to the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA for further study and obtained a doctorate degree in petroleum engineering. Later, he stayed at the University to teach and do postdoctoral research. His main direction was the research on GLCC based gas-liquid separation and compact well testing system. Its oil-gas water separation, automatic control and crude oil and natural gas measurement technology has always been an international leader in the field of multi-phase flow, and related products have been applied to oil fields in the United States, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Mexico, Venezuela and other countries. In February 2023, Mersey Energy Technology (Shandong) Co., Ltd. was established in China, and in February 2024, Ningbo branch was established.
