Baowu Specialmetallurgy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Baowu Specialmetallurgy) is a wholly-owned level-1 subsidiary directly under China Baowu Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as China Baowu). Its predecessor was Shanghai No.5 Iron & Steel Plant established in 1958. Baowu Specialmetallurgy specializes in the research, development and manufacture of special metallurgical materials, high-performance metals and alloy materials, and is the only production entity of special metallurgical materials under China Baowu, and also the most important R&D and industrialized manufacturing base of high-quality special metallurgy in China.
